Having supported Kingston’s Homegrown Live Music Festival’s online presence for the past 6 years, it seemed only natural that we would make a big contribution to the festival’s 10th anniversary celebration. The (potentially) one-off event titled Plant the Seeds deviates from the normal Homegrown Live program in that it will span multiple days, and involve a host of musical workshops, film screenings, and a larger concert. HC2 developed the principle logo and website for Plant the Seeds. The logo was specifically created with an eye towards variations (e.g. musical note replaced by guitar) to be used for Homegrown Live’s logo. Further on down the line, other spinoffs of this logo are envisioned for new events Homegrown might pursue. The end result yields a consistent brand, no matter what sort of event Homegrown Live presents. The Plant the Seeds logo was also specifically designed with merchandise in mind, hence the circular shape, which lends itself well to buttons, tees and other branded items.
