Community is one of the core elements described in HC2′s mission statement. We devote a considerable amount of effort to support the community where our employees and customers live, work and play. In that respect, HC2 invests in our community by donating our services to support and promote numerous artists and initiatives in Kingston, Ontario.
Kingstonist was conceived as a result of our desire to make a significant contribution to the city in which we call home. We established this community-driven website in March 2008 to focus attention on everything and anything going on in the limestone city of Kingston. Over the years, the site has undergone numerous re-designs, while HC2 continues to provide editorial, promotional, administrative and financial support to ensure the site’s relevance, as well as its growth as a positive community resource. HC2 developed the basis for Kingstonist’s current theme, while our friends at 406 Digital were responsible for coding the theme, and various plug-ins that make go!
